I found one resource on the web that says the grainmaker makes great masa, but is hard to clean and can rust since the plates are not stainless. You have to use the right kind of lime for processing the corn. I just wrote up an article on types of lime on the paleotechnics blog...

http://paleotechnics.wordpress.com/2013/03/04/understanding-lime-an-introduction-to-forms-of-lime-and-where-they-come-from/

For tortilla making and nixtamalization, check out tonia's page here. I would love to learn that process from you, do you use lime? We do use the mill for peanut butter, I suspect the burrs for the nut butters would be good with the moist corn. It would certainly be worth a try.Margo R-Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07569408813159354949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654460169616432075.post-60973569277044752402013-01-21T09:30:16.680-08:002013-01-21T09:30:16.680-08:00Thanks for the review, that was very helpful. I wonder how the grainmaker would do with grinding masa.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654460169616432075.post-6663896571312498802011-02-01T13:14:05.136-08:002011-02-01T13:14:05.136-08:00dude, that bread was good.dude, that bread was good.annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09152773546534649570noreply@blogger.com
